Onimusha Byakue Boss Guide — Axe-Wielder

Byakue is a giant axe-wielder with no dedicated arena — he hunts you instead of waiting in a boss room. The fight is pure aggression management: he gets more dangerous the longer it runs, so the answer is to match his pace, not wait him out.

The Fight

• He grows more aggressive as the fight goes on — match his aggression with parries instead of retreating.
• His axe swings are slow but wide: side-dodge the heaviest ones, parry the standard strings.
• There is no arena edge to abuse — control the middle of the space and keep him in front of you.

Boss System Recap

• Break posture first — parrying drains enemy stamina faster than damage; broken posture opens Break Issen.
• White-glowing attacks cannot be Issen’d — parry, deflect or dodge them.
• Grab attacks cannot be parried — watch the telegraph and dodge.
