Onimusha Hidden Treasures — All Locations (1, 2 & 3)

The three hidden treasures in Onimusha: Way of the Sword are Chance Encounter side quests: an NPC hands you an Old Drawing, and the drawing — not the map marker — tells you where to stand. This guide gives the exact route for all three.

How Hidden Treasure Quests Work

• Each quest starts with an NPC who gives you an Old Drawing — a sketch of a landmark, not a map pin.
• Go to the area shown on the drawing, then use Oni Vision (Oni Eyes) to reveal the chest at the exact spot.
• The map marker only shows an approximate area — match the landmarks from the drawing first.

Hidden Treasure 1 — Kiyomizu-zaka Slope

Quest giver: a woman northwest of the Gojo Street – West Spirit Mirror. The drawing shows a rooftop with a pagoda behind it.

1. Start at the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror (Eastern Kyoto) and head right between the two buildings toward the stairs.
2. At the bottom of the stairs, look at the building on the left for a ladder — climb to the roof.
3. Take a second, smaller ladder up to a higher roof.
4. At the top, use Oni Vision to reveal the chest.

Reward: 1 Fine Silk Cloth, 2 Oni Stones.

Hidden Treasure 2 — Yasaka Pagoda

Quest giver: a man near the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror. The drawing hints at a pagoda, a ladder and a waterfall.

1. From the Yasaka Pagoda Spirit Mirror, turn so the mirror is behind you and head past the house on the right toward the rock edge (watch for enemies).
2. Climb down the ladder at the rock edge, then head left to face the waterfall.
3. Use Oni Vision at the bottom of the small waterfall to reveal the chest.

Hidden Treasure 3 — Kamo River East

Quest giver: a woman on the north side of the map, west of the Shijo Street Spirit Mirror. The drawing shows a gate marked with a red X.

1. From the Kamo River East Spirit Mirror, run so the mirror is directly behind you.
2. Enter through the second gate on the left (not the first) — the temple garden where you fought Ifuu and Burai.
3. Inside, go right over the water toward the edge of the area, then around right again past the corruption.
4. Ahead is a large closed gate on the left — use Oni Vision in front of it to reveal the chest.

Reward: 1 Fine Silk Cloth, 2 Power Stones.
