Onimusha Charms — All 15 Effects & Best Charms
There are 15 standard charms in Onimusha: Way of the Sword (plus 6 bonus "Lovable" charms from the demo and editions). You equip up to 3 in slots unlocked via skills, and every standard charm can be upgraded to Level 3. Here is every effect, how to get each one, and which are actually worth a slot.
How Charms Work
- Equip up to 3 charms in dedicated slots — extra slots unlock through the skill tree.
- Upgrade to Level 3 at Enma’s Hall (Rokudo-chinnoji Temple) using Red Souls + Favor: Lv2 costs 3,000 Red Souls / 3,500 Favor, Lv3 costs 6,000 Red Souls / 6,500 Favor.
- Favor comes from making offerings (food items found in levels or from rescuing citizens).
- Charm enhancement unlocks after completing "The Stage Is Set at Kiyomizu".

Chance Encounters unlock after finishing "The Curse of Kiyomizu-zaka Slope"; Mysteries of Kyoto unlock after "What Lurks in the Shadows". All 15 standard charms are required for the Charmed Life trophy (see the trophy guide).

Claim them via any Spirit Mirror → Additional Content. The demo charm requires: title screen → Settings → Privacy → Demo Bonus → Collect Reward (see the demo guide). Bonus charms do not count toward the Charmed Life trophy.
